lack Delrin Sheet
Black Delrin is an engineering plastic sheet made from acetal resin (POM), typically with black pigment. It is used to manufacture machine components that need strength, low friction and dimensional stability.
Ideal for industrial machinery
Suitable for gears, rollers and guide components
Hides dirt and surface marks relatively well
White Delrin Sheet
White or natural acetal sheet is used where a clean appearance, visual inspection or a light-coloured component is preferred.
Suitable for precision-machined parts
Easy to inspect for dirt and contamination
Useful for jigs, fixtures and equipment components
Important: Delrin is a brand name for acetal homopolymer. Not every black or white acetal sheet is genuine DuPont Delrin; some are made from other POM grades. The material grade should be verified before purchasing.
2. Key properties of Delrin sheets
High strength and stiffness: Suitable for many load-bearing machine components.
Low friction: Helps moving parts slide smoothly.
Good wear resistance: Useful for gears, bushes and guide rails.
Dimensional stability: Maintains its shape well under suitable operating conditions.
Low moisture absorption: Compared with many other engineering plastics, it absorbs relatively little moisture.
Easy machining: Can be cut, drilled, milled and turned into precision components.
Common applications include automotive components, packaging machinery, food-processing equipment, industrial gears, bearings, rollers and machine fixtures. Suitability depends on the exact grade, temperature, load and operating environment.
